Access to www.aljamaa.com banned from within Morocco
Communiqué
Wednesday, 21 June, 2006
In the morning of Wednesday, 21 June, 2006 the national public opinion was surprised to find out that access to the official website of the Justice and Spirituality Movement is denied from Morocco contrary to what the case is from outside Morocco.
Technical investigation has revealed that behind this ban stand the Moroccan authorities that exert every effort to prevent the voice of the JSM to reach out to the Moroccan people and use for that end the most vicious methods, transgressing thus all laws, conventions and rules of logic for a long time now. By the way, this is not the first time access to the JSM’s official website has been banned by the Moroccan authorities.
Expressing our wonder at those primitive methods used by the Moroccan authorities to prevent the dissemination of information in the age where information flows freely, we inform the national and international public opinion of what follows :

1- We denounce the unjust ban that only confirms that the freedom of the press, the freedom of expression and the freedom of information are nothing but an illusion in Morocco.
2- We hold on to our right to disseminate our views and communicate with people without conditions and intermediaries, however the price may be.
3- We call upon the organizations concerned about the freedom of information to voice out their condemnation of such flagrant harassment and blatant violations.
4- We inform public opinion and all the Moroccan people that access to the JSM’s official website is possible through the following links:
