| This case would have revealed a good deal of contradictions, a good deal of pretenses, a good deal of subterfuges and a good deal of runaways from objectivity as well, those who rush to get ahead of the shouting and denouncing team, without knowing exactly what's going on, and who eventually get overtaken by events. |

| Our so-called democratic era is governed by rumors more than anything else; rumor has it that I declared myself republican at the university of Berkeley, whereas a short visit to the university's website could belie it, unless our movement's detractors simply don't want to know, and found it too good an occasion to comply with their populist and eradicating devils. |

| Wasn't it just the perfect timing to make a diversion and play on emotions to patch up a forever cracked popularity (alas) ? And those who picked this timing are the very ones who ask : 'why now?' ! |

| This reminds me of a Moroccan saying that perfectly illustrates this situation : "he hit me and cried instead of me, and went ahead of me to denounce me." The translations of maxims are rarely faithful, but this one conveys pretty well the comic nature of the situation. Counting since the beginning on disinformation and most of all on manipulation of the Moroccan public opinion (sorry, emotion), they put up painstakingly but very poorly the brainwashing. |

| According to the appointed disinformators, the idea of the republic is totally new-fangled and stems from a confidence that only a "super" support can lavish. We invite the public opinion (not emotion this time) to check the dates of some articles to ascertain the continuity of the idea. |

| Malleability obliges, since we are for non-violence even against frames of minds, the tone slightly varies but never the substance. We also invite them to notice how at Berkeley I sharply criticized the policy of the "superpower" that causes such "superparanoia" to our "hyperpoliticians". |

| Counting on a geostrategic antidemocratic support rather than on a serious politic strategy, the Makhzen and its accomplices discover with horror that those very geostrategic concerns are likely to play a dirty trick on them. Ever since Morocco was revealed to belong to the Middle East in some geographic notebooks, stomach pains have become frequent to some elite people and their suspicions persistent. Self-identifying exclusively in terms of Uncle Sam's desires, they project their own vision of the world onto all. |

| That's why our detractors have chosen this timing, they count on un-politicizing the intentionally, culturally and materially, impoverished masses, to make us out to be traitors sanctioned by those very ones menacing our "national sovereignty", if ever there was one. |

| For despite the fact that the best part of Moroccans is illiterate, they are still addicted to the mass media that most harms the critical thought and the necessary distance from events: television. That's probably why we should acknowledge a certain masterstroke to this whole mediocre tactic. |

| Why does a national television talk to Moroccans about a public affair after having always been the very symbol of "not saying a thing" ? Why now ? |

| Well, talking about my case on national television without censorship is killing two birds with one stone : |

| · Fawn on the international showcase that exacts bearings of clean and respectful democracy.· Manipulate a public emotion lacking any political education whatsoever, apart from hand-kissing, and conditioned by a tattooed memory, a memory to which any dissidence against the Makhzen inexorably results in a public chastisement. |

| Thus, my protesting band-aid becomes a Makhzen inflicted humiliation… well done councilors ! |

| What some think is an Incipient democratic culture is actually a culture of contempt for a deprived People. |

| an objective journalist (except for the color of my dress which was green not black) whom I greet, kept referring to Larry Flint and to my political marketing, in vain, for the "people" remains in the dark as to what he means, he may compare the incomparable and confiscate my originality at will, only an infinitesimal elite are going to follow his and our symbolic circumvolutions. That same elite who at best , would have chosen this timing (hopefully, because this will prove that they are still alive), and at worst would have undergone it… and that's when it gets serious. |
